School Residential 2026

This space will be used to provide updates on our residential trip from Monday 15th June until Friday 19th June 2026.

11am - The children and staff have arrived safely at their destination
Monday 15th June 2026

The residential has got off to an excellent start with the children working together to complete a range of team activities.
We have had our lunch and will start our afternoon programme which includes biking, canoeing, slack lining and fencing.
If technology allows, a further update will appear tonight. If not, this will come tomorrow morning.
All of the children are in good spirits and have settled in well.

Tuesday 16th June 2026

The children have continued their really positive start to the residential.

After last night's dinner and free time, Year 6 settled own with a hot chocolate before bedtime with the class getting to sleep comfortably.

We have started the day with fencing, climbing, canoeing and archery with more fun this afternoon.

Everyone remains in good spirits and are supporting each other.

Due to ongoing internet issues at the site, updates will be provided here during school hours.

Wednesday 17th June 2026

An absolutely brilliant day by the whole class and I must say how proud I am of every single one of them. We have received regular comments about how well mannered they are and how helpful they all have been.

The children have approached the activities superbly with many stories of them taking on challenges despite a few nerves. We have all had an excellent night's sleep ahead of another busy day.

Thursday 18th June 2026

Another fantastic day had by all. Yesterday morning, the children took part in paddleboarding, biking, circus skills and bushcraft. Those doing paddleboarding seemed to mostly enjoy falling in the water which was just as well given the amount of time we spent in it!

The bushcrafters enjoyed trying to make waterproof dens and Mr Hasyn was impressed with how everyone attempted the cycling.

In the afternoon, we took part in a whole class expedition and scavenger hunt and then there was the England game!

Those who wanted to watch it got the opportunity on a big screen whilst the rest had their own non-football party over a few snacks and hot chocolate. We've had a really good sleep and are ready for our final day of activities.

Friday 19th June 2026

What a fabulous final day! Those who hadn't yet done paddleboarding took to the water once again with 1 or 2 (including adults) spending more time in the water than out.

Climbing, archery, bushcraft and fencing was also completed before we all sang campfire songs, shared our favourite memories and toasted marshmallows before one final mug of hot chocolate.

There were many bleary eyes this morning as we all packed ready for the journey home.

Expected arrival time: 12.40pm
Once children are back at school, they are free to go home. They are also welcome to stay at school if needed.
